Early German

Armies of the Germanic Tribes of Northern Europe who faced off against the Romans from about 115BC - 250AD and tussled with Vandals, Sarmatian, Gallic tribes in Gaul, and German neighbors. The Suebi, Marcomanni, Cherusci, and Batavi are some of the best known tribes.
